Sedgwick University
Sedgwick U is the internal training platform used by all Sedgwick colleagues. I was tasked with redesigning the homepage. Because the site lived within our intranet, I worked around some technical constraints, but the end result was a significantly improved user experience. What started as a homepage refresh grew into a full redesign: once I fixed the core navigation problems, I carried the same structure across all the secondary pages.
Identified areas of improvement
I started by auditing the original design to find what we could clean up and make more intuitive. There was no time to gather user data, so I relied on my judgment of the content itself. The original layout buried key items; users had to dig through unnecessary pages and too many clicks to reach what they needed. My goal was to surface every main touchpoint so users could quickly identify their need and get to the result.
Below is the original design, the options I created, the final design and some of the secondary pages.
